
Length: One-year program—Two semesters
Purpose: To provide the skills, knowledge, and some of the experience required
for employment in one or more of the following occupational areas.
Occupational Objectives:
• Web Developer
• Web Programming
• Web Application Developer
• GUI Designer
• Web Designer
Admissions Requirements: Admission to the program is governed by the established
admission requirements to the College.
Program Requirements: A great program to add-on to the AAS in Information
Systems Technology or Career Studies Certificate in Software Development. It can
also be completed as a stand-alone program with a few pre-requisite courses. The
student will learn and implement the skills to be successful developing
web-based applications. The course work will consist of HTML, javascript, Visual
Studio (Visual Basic and C#), ASP.NET, JSP, XML and web server management. Upon
satisfactory completion of the program, the graduate will be awarded the Career
Studies Certificate in Web Development.
