Summer Session
Purpose: Job opportunities in the field of computer and electronics
repair are expected to increase significantly over the next decade. The
Electronics Servicing program is geared to train students to enter the field of
electronic service and repair by introducing students to the fundamental
principles of electronics. Students diagnose electronic problems, select proper
tools and test equipment and utilize these to locate and repair various
electronic devices. Students add to their electronic knowledge by taking courses
in computer repair, internetworking, electronics communication, technical
writing and human relations.
The areas of concentration include computer repair and networking technology
with an emphasis on computer assembly and upgrading, magnetic data storage,
printer repair, video display systems, network server installation, and server
maintenance.

Admission Requirements: Applicant must meet the general requirements of
admission to the college.
Program Requirements: The student is required to take specialized courses
in Electronics, as well as related Math and other general education courses.
Program Features: Students who wish to sit for the CompTIA A+ exam will have the
necessary skills to do so at the end of the second semester. In addition,
students who successfully complete the certificate in Electronics Servicing may
take the last two semesters of the Computer Electronics program to receive a
diploma.
