Length: One-year Program - Two semesters plus
Summer Session*
Purpose: The Office Information Technology program is designed primarily
to train persons for full-time employment in office-related work. Persons who
are seeking employment or want to improve their skills may benefit from this
program.

Receptionist
General Office Assistant
Typist
Admission Requirements: Admission to the program, in addition to the
requirements for general admission to the college, requires that the student
show satisfactory aptitude for Office Information Technology as measured by
appropriate tests administered by the College Counseling department.
Program Requirements: Office Information Technology is a one-year program
combining instruction in the many subject areas required for competence in
business, government, industry, and other organizations.
*In order to complete the program in one year, a student should attend fall,
spring, and summer sessions, in that order, because of sequence courses or other
prerequisites. Students may need additional semesters to complete the program if
they do not follow the fall, spring, summer sequence. Students successfully
completing the one-year sequence program receive an Office Information
Technology Certificate. This program is a career ladder for those wishing to
enter the Administrative Support Technology program.
