Gifts to Southwest Virginia Community College (SVCC) directly benefit students and enhance SVCC's educational programs and services. By giving your support, you can gain the satisfaction of supporting the education of a deserving student while, at the same time, saving money on your taxes (gifts are tax deductible within the guidelines of the I.R.S.). Whether you can contribute $1,000 or $25, you will make a big difference in the lives of many students.
"Think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege." -John D. Rockefeller, Jr.
How can you make a gift to SVCC?
SVCC offers several options for those who wish to make a
gift to the College. Gifts can be made to the SVCC
Alumni Scholarship Fund, SVCC Homecoming Event Fund, and to
the SVCC Educational Foundation. For more information about
giving to the College, please contact Mary Lawson at

ALUMNI FUNDS
Scholarship Fund & Homecoming Fund
Two $500 SVCC Alumni Scholarships are awarded yearly to a 1st or 2nd year SVCC student who is the child of a SVCC graduate. This scholarship is designed to supplement the student by aiding in the purchase of books, tuition, or curriculum supplies.
The SVCC Homecoming is an annual alumni event held each fall. This "free" event provides the perfect opportunity to reunite with old classmates, friends, and professors. Former and current faculty and staff are also invited to join in the fun.
If you wish to make a donation to either fund, please make checks
payable to:
SVCC Educational Foundation and specify, Scholarship Fund or Homecoming
Event,
