
This curriculum is designed to provide students with comprehensive training to provide quality patient care and to create a positive, nurturing attitude toward the elderly and disabled.
Teaches care of older patients with emphasis on the social, emotional, and spiritual needs of geriatric patients; procedures; communication and interpersonal relations; observation, charting and reporting; safety and infection control; anatomy and physiology; personal care, nutrition and patient feeding; death and dying.
The occupational objective is preparation as Certified Nurse Aide to work in the following settings:
