Catalog Preparation

Proposed curriculum changes, additions, or deletions for the College Catalog and Student Handbook are submitted by the appropriate Vice President, Director, or Division Dean to the Chair of the Curriculum and Instruction Committee, with copies to the Vice President of Instruction, Public Relations Coordinator, and appropriate Division Dean.

The following calendar is to be used to initiate the annual process of catalog preparation:

October - November Division Deans will discuss with division members the various curricula to determine needed changes, additions, or deletions.
The Vice President of Student Development Services will begin the process of changes to the Student Handbook.

November 30 Proposed curriculum changes, additions, or deletions will be submitted by appropriate Vice President, Director, or Division Dean to Chair of Curriculum and Instruction Committee, with copies to the Vice President of Instruction, Public Relations Coordinator, and appropriate Division Deans.

December 1 Submission of final catalog changes by appropriate Vice President, Director, or Division Dean to Public Relations Coordinator, with copy to Vice President of Instruction. The Vice President of Student Development Services will submit final changes to the Student Handbook. The “Required Catalog Changes” form will be completed and signed to authorize the final copy.

December 8 Cover design and photos finalized for catalog.

Purchase requisition for catalog submitted by Public Relations Coordinator to the Business Office for processing, can bid either locally or through Richmond.

February 9 Distribution of final draft of catalog to Division Deans, Department Heads, Vice President of Student Development Services, with copy to the Vice President of Instruction.

February 11 College Council review of final draft of catalog and student hand- book.

March 1 Camera-ready catalog to printer.

April 15 Catalog received from printer for distribution.
