This exhibit will feature local artists Johnny and Penny Hagerman along with Donna Robinson.With the view of Paintlick Mountain as an inspiration, three artists come together to present an art exhibition entitled Walking Distance.
Featured works include traditional hand and machine stitched quilts, watercolors and design sketches for Hagerman’s latest brick sculptures created for the new Earl E. and Dorothy J. Dellinger Learning Resources Center at SWCC. A special reception will be held on Thursday, October 29 from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm in the gallery to honor these amazing artists.
The public is encouraged to attend and to view the exhibit during regular college hours. Walking Distance will be available from October 15 through November 27 at the SWCC Ellen Von Dehsen Elmes Gallery in the King Community Center. Prints of Hagerman’s work will also be available for purchase and all proceeds will benefit the Appalachian Arts Center.
