Veterans Honored at Breakfast by SWCC on November 7 Southwest Virginia Community College is hosting the annual Veterans Breakfast on Saturday, November 7, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Gene T. Dye Armory on the college campus.
The theme is “Land of the Free Because of the Brave” honoring all who have served and sacrificed throughout the years to make this country great and to protect our freedoms that we so often take for granted.
Agenda items include: Keynote Speaker, Dr. Mark Estepp, president of SWCC; Posting of Colors, Pledge of Allegiance, Raising of the Flag, National Anthem, Presentation of Colors, Blessing of the Flag, Recognition of Veterans, Presentation of the Wreath, Honor Guard/21-Gun Salute, and playing of Taps.
